How Do I Decorate My College Dorm Room?

Decorating a dorm should be fun and exciting… but it does require communication with your roommate (if applicable) and advance thought!

Begin by contacting your roommate and brainstorming likes and dislikes. Contact the universities’ website for room layouts and configure how you want the furniture to go etc… Once you get an idea for layout... Let the fun begin. Decide on a color scheme or style. Scan through magazines, websites like http://www.transformyourdorm.com/ to get ideas. Talk with your roommate to find a balance and blending of these ideas.

Remember… this should be fun! .. but be sensitive to each others’ needs and apply give and take rule. Some girls like to totally coordinate with a Jack and Jill,

Flip flop on colors all in coordinating patterns. Others like to have their own special style and just have the sides blend able. It’s all up to you!

The bed… This where you will spend the bulk of your time. Sitting in the room with friends, studying etc…. So it’s important to make sure the bedding is quality and comfortable.
